Somfy added local API support to newest firmware!

ppeterr

Question

I think this is very good news for the Somfy Connexoon users.

2022.6.4-13 brings local API support.

To enable it you need to get into your somfy account, and activate developer mode.

Probably a stupid question...

I have Somfy roof window shutters, controlled by a remote controller (i think RF 433 MHZ), but i have no clue, if there is any way to get them controlled from any mobile application, or just connect them via some API programming and FIbaro? I have not any HUB of Somfy, just a Fibaro system is running in my house..

Can you please give me some advice, how to get them work from some APP, or is it even possible?

THanks a lot

There is been a lot talked about Somfy on this forum, if you search it will bring up a lot of results.

But in short, if you are using Somfy IO. You need a extra Hub. (connexxoon, tahoma, klf 200).

If you get the connexoon or tahoma you can now use the API locally.

If you have a RTS system, you can use a RFXCOM, this is a 433Mhz transmitter. (there are probably more solutions)

I have Somfy IO. I control them with a Velux KLF 200. This is a different hub, but acts like a Conexxoon.

This integration with the KLF is supported by Homeassistant. So i run this on my NAS and gives me

shortcuts on my Phone to control the Somfy IO sunshade in the garden.

With Homeassistant --> MQTT <-- Homecenter i could integrate this.

(planning to work this out soon, not sure if i am skilled enough for that) :)
