LUA condition with variable

Hi,

Is it possible to compare in condition with variable. I have scene that turns on power on electric heater if temperature is less than some value and to turn it off if value is exceeded. Now I can set only fix values and if I need to change teperature I have to change it manualy in every sceen. So how can I compare temperature with value in variable so I can set only variable with desired value and all sceens will copare to it.
