Since yesterday I have a new problem in HC3. Next to rebooting, which is annoing, it now crashes, which is much more problematic. 

 

Crashing in this cash means it doesn't work anymore and it doesn't automatically reboot. Consequence is that Home Automation is gone. The events show nothing, the leds on the front stay as normal with the exception of the internet led (2nd from right) which is red (no internet), Of corse there's internet. 

 

What are my options to find the root cause of this crashing? Next to the HC3 software, it could also be a crappy QA, halve dead sensor, etc.

Big problems for me on this version too, I upgraded this morning to hopefully get rid of the "The system recovered from an unexpected error" error plaging me for over a year now.

But the situation got worse. I have had the error and crashes now a few times today.
The HC3 was unuseable.

I am reverting back to 5.130.

    I need/want to to do that as well. Is that done via Recovery Mode? what are the steps? How do I get the 5.130 version?

    The HC3 contains 2 versions A and B, in the recovery you can see which is which version.
    You make the other version active and disable the new version.

    I lost my Zigbee devices yesterday during everything I did to recover.
    So I am doing a Factory reset now and hopefully after restoring the backup to before the "upgrade" things will work again.
    But I probably have to re-add the Zigbee devices, that'll be fun.

    Same problems here. Strange panic and reboot , errors . older version worked whitout anny problems.

    I have been wondering for some time now, does fibaro even test their releases before buplishing??

     

     How can such big firm be lame regarding their product (firmwares). A killer that has been there with no fix for more than a year ("The system recovered from an unexpected error") and now an upgrade which is worse than earlier version. Do they depend on their customers for quality control, or they consider their clients as their lab rats.

    I agree with you but my homcenter with the last firmware works great no problem here

    mine works great to, but untill I started checken remotely for uptime of HC3, I saw it rebooted every few days. And crashing is a new thing since a week. 

     

    I do believe Fibaro is testing their software, but a 100% guarantee is hard to get. Like with every other software vendor, I haven't seen software without any bug in real life.
