Calling a value from a Quickapp in another Quickapp

Lode

Question

I have the Nest thermostat quickapp running.

When i try to retrieve a value from in a scene then it works but not in another quickapp.

I have this line of code :

Please login or register to see this code.

Where 818 is the Nest thermostat quickapp.

In a scene it gives me a value of 22 wich is correct.
How to retrieve that value from in another quickapp ?

If it works in a scene it should work in a QuickApp

I suspect the error is elsewhere - how do you find out you don't get a value in the QA? logging it? how do you log?

  • Thanks @jgab

Please login or register to see this code.

In the same quickapp i call the function by self:UpdateValues()

I tried it this way, i don't get an error.

    I just don't get a value.

My guess is that you are not looking for your result under the “test” tag in the console…

  • Thanks guys,

Stupid 🙈, it was just for testing and a placed the line of code outside the function in the Quickapp.
