I’m missing Yubii from Apple CarPlay.

Some of my customers need to start scenes while driving, but there is no support for CarPlay. They need to use the phones, but it is forbidden to hold the phone in hand (by the law).

It would be nice to have a CarPlay app - maybe with limited functionality - to start scenes.

Hello, yes, the yubii app is not available in carplay, but in our installations, when customer wanted to access some scenes, we just recommended to use Shortcuts, so they are able to use voice commands by SIRI to access their scenes from Carplay. All our customers are very satisfied with this solution, becuase when you first paired your car with your phone, it remembers it, so next time you dont need to touch anything, i mean there is no authentication required at all, so it is very convinient to access all the devices by voice commands. It can be a usefull solution, until the full YUBII app will be available in CarPlay.

Apple HomeKit is also missing in Carplay due safety features. You can only operate your HomeKit devices with your voice via Siri. If you don't use HomeBridge middleware to bring the HC3 to HomeKit the only solution is to use Shortcuts as @Neo Anderssonsaid.

Yes, it can help, but it is only a workaround…….again.

To use shortcuts I need to make scene to turn on the devices (more scenes again…) and make shortcuts for that scenes… a lot of scenes and a lot of shortcuts, when you want to turn on a device…

The correct solution is the Yubii availability on CarPlay.

What on earth would you like to run from inside your car using more than 3-6 scene's while you are AWAY from your home?

I only have 3 scene's/shortcuts setup; open front gate, close front gate and open my garage.

I have other automatic scenes running to determine if someone is home or coming home and using the front gate and if it's dark, also switch on lights etc.

Hi, CarPlay would be very useful - accessibility to scenes or some small dashboard would be key. For example, it could be a scene for leaving the house or coming home, turning on the lights in front of the house or a small dashboard with temperature reading or some notification.
