Calculate time

UPS time offline

 

I want to make a scene in how long the battery last of my UPS till when the power is been restored. 

 

How can I calculate two times in between?  (13:55 - 12:35 = 80 min)

Assuming you get two times back in the format HOUR:MINUTE and no date. To convert I use the Lua date/time functions with the current date and your time:

  • Eventually I came up with this script, I wrote myself.

     

    I use a relay to a smart implant to detect a brownout, the input trigger i use to trigger the scene.
