Cant get network working on HC2 in recovery mode

  1. My HC2 died. 
  2. After replacing the battery and getting into recovery and restoring backup, it died again
  3. Have HC3 running with a restore from HC2.
  4. I have backups of lua scenes and backups of VDs. 
  5. Block scenes, I can replicate from memory.
  6. I am slowly transferring my lua scenes over

 

Question-1

 

Is there a tool I can use to extract the lua code from the VDs

 

Question-2

 

Can I get HC2 working again ? 

  1. I removed the battery to drain the cmos ram.
  2. I can get it into recovery mode the power and recovery mode led are on
  3. But it's not responding on the original IP address
  4. And is not responding at 192.168.81.1
  5. In fact, with only it connected to my laptop, Windows says network cable unplugged

I think you need to connect over a switch or with crossover cable.
