How to get a number input on HC2

maor

Question

Using HC2 for few years already, and only now get to ask this...Hopefully there's a simple answer that I have just missed over the time. Is there a way to input a number into a virtual device? a simple text box that can get a string which can in turn be converted into a number?

It is quite common that you need in a VD to input a number (eg set a target temperature, set duration for zone irrigation, set days to do certain activity, set chlorine ppm to inject to a pool, etc...) so far I could not find a convenient way to get a number input from a VD user.

Thanks in advance.

A bit late, but no.  The slider component in the VD could have been useful if one could adjust its scale.  This is still not possible in HC3.

So, my solution is to have a label followed by two buttons (or 4).  Example from HC3, but it applies to HC2.  In this example, the buttons increase/decrease the value by 1 for Humidity and 5 for Minutes
