It's not a secret that many users struggling with Geofence option to make it work properly.

May I suggest adding test button for Geofence. By pressing the button, application will send Geofence event according to the current location.

I do believe this feature will be very helpful and appreciated by all users.

Thanks in advance.

It's a good idea but does that work?

To change location you need to travel physically .

If I am at home and press the button nothing will happen because I did't change my position.

Or do I miss something?

Perhaps some useful info

You need to travel to different location, because the app. already sent your last location and if no location changes detected it won't send Geofence.

What I'm asking is to enforce sending again your current location and, in this case, the Geofence event will be triggered again in the controller. Of course you'll receive same data (like "enter" or "leave" same location), but you can monitor if the Geofence is actually working.

Right now, I don't receive any Geofence events and it's impossible to make changes and constantly moving around to verify if it works.

    Hi, how are you?
I use gps simulator for android and it works fine for me.
For IOS I don't know if there is an app.

And some tips that helped me when I had problems with the location.

If I had the fibaro-id account on two devices, gps detection failed.

Many cell phones do not have the same effectiveness as others.

    I hope to help.
