Lua error handling

eureka

Question

Hi,

I'm using the TIME BASED EVENTS CONTROL lua scene from @Sankotronic (v.1.2.5) but since some time i'm having issues with it erroring out.

Please login or register to see this code.

it gives the error that sunset is a nil value.

sunset is retrieved from deviceid1 using

most of the time this works normally, but every now and then it seems it cannot retrieve the value (while the global variable is actually filled). Anyone has any idea on why it sometimes cannot retrieve a value (and gets nil in return)? Also, how can I manage the error as it currently errors out and stops the script.

Hello @eureka ,

Code is greatly improved. Let me know if new version is working fine for you and thank you for using my solutions!
