Can not use or add Door sensors to HC2 after 1 year without batteries.

vants

Question

Hi all,

I changed home one year ago and put all Fibaro stuff in a box. Today I tried to put all to work again but I am not able to make door sensors work again.

HC2 is working fine with other devices. Just door sensors are unresponsive.

I replaced all batteries, for one, I tried to erase the device but I had to force the deletion and I am not able to add it anymore. For others, I just replaced batteries but nothing, death nodes.

HC2 version is 4.630, some door sensors are version 2.1 and some 2.5.

I tried to reboot HC2, as I told, one sensor I removed, other I tried to wake up but it is like HC2 can not see anymore the sensors.

Is there something else I can try?

Thank you!

Ale

@vantsHi you can try soft reconfiguration and wakeup the door sensors.

If this doesn't help, I recommend to start the exclude procedure on the homecenter in order to remove the sensors. Do this one by one and include to the homecenter again. For everey step and sensor, you need to wake up the battery powered device.

For the door sensor you had used forced remove, make sure this sensor doesn't remain in the controller as a ghost sensor. Sometimes several restarts / remove steps are nessesery.

The door sensor manual is

There is also a reset procedure for the sensor, but the exclude proccedure is reccomended

  • Hi all, thank you for all answers.
At the end, the problem was given by batteries. I bought new pack on ebay, EVE brand. Maybe old stock…

Anyway, I bought other set and all started work again.
