Fibaro Door/Window Sensor keeps disconnecting/stays disconnected

Question

Posted

I have few door/window sensors around the house but two of them seem to be misbehaving.

The two Fibaro Door/Window sensors connection status stays "Disconnected" doesn't matter what I do .. they seem to keep losing the comms/connections. I have tried waking them up, pressed the button on them.. they wake up connect but sometime later they go back to 'Disconnected' state and stay in it..

anyone can give me ideas on what's going on here..

btw, I have few other which seem to behaving as they show.. stay connected/ report status changes etc..

HELP pls

@thenujnujHi try soft reconfiguration for each sensor. Don't forget to wake up the sensor, in order to complete soft reconfiguration.

If fails try:

Resetting the Door/Window Sensor 2:

Reset procedure allows to restore the device back to its factory set- tings, which means all information about the Z-Wave controller and user configuration will be deleted.

In order to reset the device:

1. Open the cover.

2. Remove the battery.

3. Install the battery while holding both TMP buttons.

4. Visual LED indicator will be flashing slowly for 5 seconds - keep holding the buttons.

5. Release one button when the LED indicator starts flashing quickly.

6. Click released button once to confirm launching of reset procedure.

7. Wait a few seconds until a long blink of the LED indicator. Do not remove the battery.

8. Visual LED indicator will blink 5 times quickly to confirm the reset.

thank you @Fabir and @Sjakie . I will give that a go and see how it goes.  FYI.. it's at my BIL's place so when I am there next I will try this out.  I will report back how it goes.
