HC3L + KeyFob does not update parameters

Question

Posted

I have changed parameters for Keyfob (enabling double click etc.). But parameters are not updated and waiting in queue - like on screenshot. Same thing happens for my second Keyfob.

Devices are 1m from HC3L and active - all other features like scene activation works correct.

@redziochThe Keyfob is a battery powered device. In order to take over changes made in the homecenter, you have to wake it up.

Just click any button 3 times.

Hmm.. But anything else works - so I assumed that Keyfob is already awaken. I am just curious how it works.

@redziochYes the keyfob is working as it should, when you click a button, it sends this command back to the homecenter, the homecenter execudes the command allocated to this button. Then the keyfob is sleeping again.

Battery powerd zwave devices are sleeping most of the time, in order to keep the battery life longer.

For instance, a battery powered temp sensor like the FGMS. If the temperature report time interval is set to a short time, this reporting action will drain the battery in a few days. Otherwhise the same battery can last a year or longer.

    Hello,

Pressing keys on keyfob is just sending data to HC. In order for keyfob to receive configuration it needs to be woken up for longer time like @Fabir wrote. That wake time is I think 20 seconds. Now to wake the device to receive new configuration I would go to device documentation. In keyfob case I think it is long pressing circle and plus keys together.
