Question

Posted

Hello,

I want to use Wali switch to the LED strip(on/off, brightness). Regarding to RGBW Controller, there should be direct current to RGbW Controller but what about Wali Controller?

@KrystiannFor this use case, I recommend to use the RGBW 2 controller

To sterre it, you can use momentary switches, the Yubii App and hc3.

Another idea, use Zigbee or Zwave wall switch and create a scene that will on/off and dim the RGB. You can use double wall switch and control the color as well.

@Krystiann

Everything will depend on the possibilities of spatial arrangement of modules and controllers.
Both Cag014 and Fabir wrote useful advice. It is only up to you to choose the most suitable connection.
I must have found out that for our internal household needs we set the brightness and color temperature once every half year. Due to the non-existence of an RGB+CCT controller with Fibaro (3 years ago it was not even possible with Zigbee, and Fibaro did not even support Zigbee with the HC3 at that time), I think that I have an LED strip controller from another manufacturer. The controller remembers the set values. I then use the Fibaro modules only to switch on/off the 230VAC for the power supply to these modules.
Only you know what your requirements are, space requirements and possibilities for placing the power source, module and controller.
Please elaborate a bit more, we can advise more precisely.

first of all, You mentioned 2 different devices :

Walli switch: (230V power supply)

Please login or register to see this link.

Walli Controller: (battery powered or external power supply 12V)

Please login or register to see this link.

Don't use Walli controller, because I don't like it ;-) - backlight don't work like it should and it has fastest dimming (too fast) and You can't change it

Walli Switch : connect only power supply and configure association >

End point 0 > Group 3 (dimmer) > RGBWcontroller (I don remember which endpoint - I think it has 8 , try first one

Please login or register to see this attachment.

Next :

RGBW Controller association :

Endpoint 0 > Group 2 (Un/Off) - because You don't need dimming on Walii Swich > Walli Switch Endpoint 1 (??)

if You want many stair switches then use:

Switch to RGBW association : Group 3 Dimmer

Switch to Switch : Group 2 On/Off

RGBW to Switch association : Group 2 On/Off

Okay, thanks for the suggestion. Wali Controller should be enough but I wonder about how does work in cross stairs switch because sometimes Wali Controller will be without power

I'm not sure if I understand you.
You express yourself inadequate ... obviously you don't know what you do. Leave it to an expert - Elektikari. It is a life, for the least property.
If you did not retaliate here and you are still determined to go into it, try to analyze your attachment, although I do not know (so far you have not written anything reasonable, as I wrote in the first contributions - what, where, where, how much, what is the result) !

If you ask the crosses, so I conclude that you have an installation where it is used 3 and more switch -off to control one place. If that's not the case, get it!.
In the classic installation it works as follows:
On the first of the switch -off (switching 6), the "sharp phase" L ". Between the individual switches are connecting two wires. Two wires come to the cross (switch 7), two wires leave.
The last switch is again (switching 6) and then goes to the bulb (consumption). Of course, "n" and ideally "PE".

    -L---sw6 ==== sw7X=====sw6-----bulb-----N-

For the relevance of this example, I assume that together with connecting wires is pulled by N+PE.
If you raise all three preparations in Walli, I recommend connecting them to power (L+N). You can use them either by associations or as a control of scene.
As far as I can advise, I would free myself from the Walli solution because it comes out a lot expensive.
If you have at least in one box under the switch -off enough place and you have a suitable cabling, use 1x module and the rest of the switch -offs to change by the button. All the button then connect to S1 and S2 module. Save half a half.
