Two RGBW controller in sync

Question

Posted

I have two RGBW controller with no switches on the IN ports.

I need them to work in sync.

I have tried to do it with associates, with group 2 but it was not working (from manual: “Association groups 2-10 can be triggered only from buttons connected to IN1-IN4”)

I have tried to create a linked device switch, but there was only an on/off switch and the programs. No color picker and other things.

What can I do?

@Milan TakacsWhat you can do is setup multiple block scenes, in order to set colors, brightness etc. for the two RGBW Controllers.

I don't know, if this fits your use case?

Yes, that way it can works, but this is really multiple…

I hope in a more simple way than creating almost 6-8 scenes per RGBW pair….

@Milan TakacsMaybe one of the LUA artists in the Fibaro Forum can help you.

If not, look at yorkshire automation shop

Please login or register to see this link.

. He has Quick Apps to control 2, 3, 4, or 6 Fibaro RGBW controllers. There's only a small one time fee to pay.

Have you tried "Add Device"  > "Other" >  "Linked Devices" and the "Switches" ??

just tried the linked device myself and it does not have a color picker, just on empty color picker empty presets
Only brightness and on /off  ... as mentioned in the 1st post
    ... I  believe this is a bug

    Yes.

Tried, and that’s my problem too…

You can add a QA as color controller. It is very close, but missing the white channel, the programs, and the favorite colors too….
