HC3 crashes randomly

fdsjkl

Question

It's been doing this since I reset the zwave network to 2.0 from 3.0 and added a HC3L as slave.

Both on firmware 5.141.59. About 20 devices on each hub, mostly Fibaro single/double switch.

Where can I find the log to pinpoint the issue?

Also on zwave 2.0

I reported that to Fibaro support

and I was offered 2 options:

Hello

Thank you for the message!
I believe that there are two ways in order to proceed with the problem.

1) You can send the device to us for service
o
2) We can try to perform some custom actions on your gateway remotely however, there is some possibility that the device will stop working completely.
(The only way to fix it would be to send the device to us).

I am located in Namibia and sending the device to Fibaro would cost ~EUR260 and it would be at least 4 weeks shipping forth and back!!
How to control my house in the meantime???  NO idea
So I would rather buy a new HC3!! ( to have a backup )

So, for me this was a no go!!

I might still go for the 2nd option.
cheers

after buying and delivery of a second HC3 I would think, delivery of a new HC3 to Namibia will also take some time. I would like to have a spare in that case, also spares for all kind of devices. I already have that in The Netherlands, where delivery on next day, also Sunday is possible.

They solved it for me with a remote connection. I also went through support and they suggested the possibility of trying to connect remotely. And they did fix it.

... just to report

Fibaro support did some remote magic :-) and the problem seems to be gone

(for more than a month now - NO  "unexpected error" GREAT 😊
Asking the support guy what exactly the problem was :

Unfortunately, I can not share much details about the fix,

however this was related to the software of gateway but it won't influence the other parts of the system.

well, at least it fixed that problem 👍
cheers

same for me after 2 years of unsolicited reboot The mystery fix has been installed for a little over a month and no more problems

My second hc3 has been running for more than 100 days without reboot or restart services without fix and without problems
