Old sensor not pairing - help needed

Question

Posted

I have an older gen fibaro window/door sensor that I would like to revive and install in my new zwave home.

Steps I have taken so far:

  • I replaced the battery
  • I reset the sensor following this manual

Please login or register to see this link.

  • I tried the inclusion process following same manual but nothing happens. Even the sensor LED does not blink
  • I tried the inclusion process following gen 2 manual and still no pairing. LED seems to be blinking for less than 10s and that's it
  • I contacted support over email today. No response yet

Please help if anyone has an idea what else I can try...

Try to exclude (delete) the sensor and then go back to inclusion process.

Old controller is dead, cannot exclude. That's why I tried resetting process.

It doesn't matter what controller you are using for excluding.

Any controller could exclude the device.

    Try using your new controller.
