Illuminated Momentary switch doesn't work with Fibaro Single switch

Question

Posted

Hi,

I wanted to change all my switches at home to illuminated momentary switches and integrate them with Fibaro single switches 2.

What is happening is due the fact that momentary switch is iluminated (it has its own light) when pressing the button it doesn't switch the lights.

If I replace it with a basic momentary switch (not illuminated) it works.

Can someone tell me how to do to use these kind of wall switches with Fibaro Single switch?

In Australia we have limited options, but this can be done with the Clipsal Saturn series of light switches.  The mechanisms can be purchased separately, you can get a "bell press" mech with an electrically seperate LED backlight.  The LED is simply wired between Live and Neutral.  The switch is then wired between Live and S1.  Suggest you have a look at the wiring diagram for the switch you bought.  The LED may be integrated (ie not have seperate wiring) and therefore the Fibaro Switch may not be able to properly sense a button press.
