I want a door sensor to turn on a light when door opens.

AHornak

Question

Is there a block scene where a door sensor turns on a light, using Fibaro HC3L ?
Or a Scenario ?

Or do I have to do LUA coding for this ?
Thanks.

You can easily do this with block sceenes yes. When dooing the scene you just put on the left side device that you wish that will trigger scene, and on the right side the device you wish to turn on. Simple as that :)

  • Thanks JureZ - as you say, that was easy.

But I can't work out how to turn the light off after 1 minute.

I've tried making a new scene, where on the left I put  the triggering device , and below that a time interval of 1 minute, and on the right the light with Turn Off as the action, but I can't save it. Any suggestions please ?

    Thanks, Angelo

@AHornak Look an example below. The light will turn off, after 1 minute, even if the the door sensor still is in open state.  Maybe setup two scenes, one for the open state of the door sensor, and another for the closed state of the sensor.

If you can't save a scene, there's something missing.
