Battery status in the FGDW-002 sensor

I have had the HC3 control unit for almost three years. The control unit works with four FGDW-002 door-window opening sensors for an equally long time. I have a problem that the control unit for these sensors shows the battery status at 100% all the time. even when the batteries are completely discharged. There is no problem with the old type sensor, with the IN input. The control unit shows the actual battery status. Do you have similar experiences in this matter?

 

I don't think it was like that before, in 2021, 2022. That battery status reporting used to be accurate. I have notes that I replaced the battery in the sensor and the control unit showed the battery status, e.g. 70%. Now, after this replacement procedure, the battery is always 100%. Which of course is not true, because I tested the old battery and it magically had 100% capacity. I have the impression that one of the recent updates of the control unit has an error related to battery status indications for FGDW-002 sensors.

I currently have software version 5.142.83 (beta)

I just have the same problem with 1 FGDW-002 and 1 FGK-101 were batteries were shown at 100% but the detectors were not working, testing the betterie, both have 0v so competly dead !

It is not linked to HC3 firmware version as it is the second times this is happening with different versions. I think it is an issue with module report.

I have changed these 2 batteries at the same time than 3 Hank Door/window sensors and they are reporting 50% battery level and still working.

I'm starting the Big Replacement of Sensors on all doors and windows. I am eliminating the sensors with "sensor 2" (FGDW-002 Sensor 2) and replacing them with "sensor 1" (FGK-10x Sensor) - it's just that the "modern" "Sensor 2" sensors have a completely screwed up battery capacity analysis, and the batteries are at ZERO. they still show 100% - which is total idiocy and completely destroys the purpose of the Fibaro alarm and burglary protection.

Today is May 13, 2024. I wanted to write a few words about the operation of the FGK-10x Sensor. The sensors work very well. There are no problems with displaying the battery status. I am very satisfied with the "old" sensors. I strongly advise against purchasing "modern" FGDW-002 Sensor 2 sensors.
