Can i use HC3 Lite as zigbee bridge for HC2?

Recommended Posts

Question is pretty much as the title says, iam looking at integrating zigbee devices as there is plenty and they are cheap. However i have HC2 and dont want to spend another 400E on HC3. I was thinking buying HC3 lite and use it as bridge? Would that work? Anyone tried?

Side question, is there Reddit forum for Fibaro? Could not find any.

@xOhMx Fibaro HC3L does not support zigbee devices. Look below

  • Ah crap, anyone has experience how to enable Zigbee on Fibaru thru external hub? Eg Sonof hub or aqara hub? Thru Hue only other lights are working. I dont beleive i have to buy HC3 to enagle zigbee device integration.

all depends on the target devices, everything* HUE Bridge compatible could be controlled via the hue plugin or quickapps from HC3L, if mix of different devices then something like TUYA Zigbee wifi bridge for 30eur is good enough (with some extra programming work to read/visualize all* these zigbee devices in Fibaro - search for tuya in forum). Thhird option is Zibee2MQTT running somewhere and QuickApp - definitely easier that QuickApp programming for TUYA solution, but you need to spend few more EUR ->
