I try to make a button what can interrupt the loop. I tried it with clearInterval.

Do you get the log "Auto variable OK" ?

If lauto is nil or 0 you will call clearInterval with an uninitialised myInterval.

I'm not really understanding the logic but to avoid the error you could do

This should work. My guess is that your local variable myInterval goes out of the scope and in the place you use it (inside the button code) it's nil.

So your code doesn't look like

You do the first line in one place in the code and the second line in another place in the code? or?

I moved the var declaration forward, but still not working.

Here is the full function to be more specific about the problem:

The error message is the same if lauto = 0

    Thanks!

You, and the repositioning of the variable definition did the trick.
