can't include any Wall Plug in HC2

Question

Posted

Hi There,

I have 1 existing and 2 new Fibaro Wall Plugs. Adding them in the HC2 should be 3 short clicks to the B button.

Putting the HC2 in adding listening mode and doing the triple click doesn't show on the HC2. No reaction. Tried to add other devices as a test and that works perfectly.

Tried resetting and tried the auto adding mode. No reaction from the HC2.

Any advice?

My HC2 is at version 4.630

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Greeting!

Davy

@Herbaliser Hello and welcome to the community.

The reset process sometimes goes wrong.

Make sure you have the wall plugs for the europan region, 868.4 Mhz

Things you can try:

-Restart HC2

-Try to include a Wall Plug with without security.

-If still not OK, start the delete process first, any zwave controller can exclude a zwave device, even if it was never includet to it before.

-Off course you have to triple click the B button for each procedure.

    Hi, thanks for your fast respons

    i rebooted.

    When i try to delete the result is the same. The HC2 doesn't respond to the triple click.

    The wall plug has the white light on. When i click once the white light goes off.

    the wallplugs are 868mhz yes.

    my adding settings look like this:

    sorry for the dutch language.

    The weird thing is when i deselect the first option "select when drive is far away from Home Center" i get an exclamation mark next to the Save Settings button on the right but the save button is disabled...

    @Herbaliser

    What color does the LED on the wall plug show, when you connect it to the 230V power?

    Red = not connected

    Green = connected to a zwave controller

    Did you go close to the hc2 with the wall plug, for the include process?

    Do you have another zwave controller to test it out?

    Maybe the new plugs are defective, try to repalce them with the seller.

    When i plug it in the led is red for a few seconds and then turns off. When i click the B button it turns white led on and off.

    I am at 1m from the HC2.

    I have a new in the box plug from 2 years ago and 2 new delivered plugs. All 3 have the same result so it will not be the plugs.

    I only have one HC2 :)

    i tried to include a fibaro relay switch as a test and it the HC2 reacts instantly to the triple click.

    some setting in the HC2 must be interfering.

    should i factory reset? and do all the updates again?

    @Herbaliser

    First do a factory reset on your Wall Plug.

    Resetting the Wall Plug:

    1. Insert the device into a socket
    2. Press and hold the B-button
    3. Wait for the visual indicator to glow yellow
    4. Release the B-button
    5. Press the B-button again, briefly
    6. Successful reset will be confirmed with the visual indicator changing colour to red
    7. Visual indicator and Wall Plug’s relay will turn off
    8. Remove the device from the socket.
    9. Set your HC2 into adding mode.
    10. Insert the device into the socket again and your HC2 should find and include your Wall Plug.

    Note that you do not need to triple-press the B-button!

    just did a factory reset. Current version of the HC2 is 4.630.

    Same result.

    Did the reset succesfully on the plugs. Stil no reaction on the HC2 when adding.

    my HC2 is alraidy 10 years old or so, could it be that it is not yet Z wave plus?

    @Herbaliser

    Could it be that you accidentally bought a Wall Plug designed for Apple HomeKit (FGBWHWPEF-102)?
    If so, you can never use it in your Z-wave system. It must be a device designed for Z-wave.

    Z-wave or Z-wave+ doesn't matter, both are compatible with your HC2.

    You can also try

    exclude from HC2 two times

    then include and set time at 60 sec

    then factory reset in that 60 sec window time.

    see what happens (sometimes it will include than)

    or

    include with 3 times B-button and again 3 times B-button

    Hope it helps

    btw HC2 >10 years takes zwave plus

    Thanks for trying to give suggestions. Sadly i had to decide to buy another brand of Z-wave controller. It added the wall plugs in a second.
