Help to get my Honeywell heating motor wired with FGS214

GuidoD

Question

Hello,

I have a Honeywell heating motor with 1 blue and 1 brown wire. I have a 24V power supply with 1 blue and 1 brown wire.

At this moment I like to use the FGS214 as a switch for just switching on and off the motor.

I connected the blue and brown wire from power supply to positions N and L.

I think that was the easy part for me but I have 0 knowledge of wiring etc.

Could somebody tell me on what positions I connect the blue and brown from the motor to use the FGS214 as a switch?

Thank you for your help!

@GuidoD Hello.

In order for us to help you, you need to fill in some information.

Is the motor 24V DC or AC? Or are they on 230V? Or exactly what type it is.

What power source (what voltage, is it DC or AC) did you connect the motor or Module to?

  • Hello Martin!

    Thank you for your help.

In the attachments i add some photos of all the parts.

On the power supply i see AC/DC and i dont think i see something on the motor about ac/dc?

    But it is 24 V.

i hope this helps a little?

    thank you!

    FGS214 N - power supply (blue wire)

    FGS214 L - power supply (brown wire)

    FGS214 L - FGS214 IN

    FGS214 Q - MT4 Brown wire

MT4 Blue wire - power supply (blue wire)

What you have to control the valve is not a motor. It is a valve controller working on a thermo-electric basis. The current heats up the capsule and opens the valve. After turning off the power, the capsule cools and the valve closes smoothly. The whole process takes a while, there is no immediate change. In practice, it is thus possible to control the control of the valve using a PWM signal, or just open/close as in the case of using the FGS214.
