How to add external sensor to Eurotronic Spirit Z-Wave Plus?

Question

Posted

How can I add external temperature sensor for Eurotronic Spirit Z-Wave? Accordingly to manual, it should be set in parameter 8, but who to select temperature sensor to be used by thermostat?

I tried to set association group in temperature sensor I'd like to use, but every time I change parameter value to 128, save and refresh parameter 8 value reverts to default one. Am I missing something?

@Tazovsky The same here with my eurotronic thermostats. Mine are on firmware 0.16. What about yours?

Fourtunately this is not a problem if you use a fibaro climate zone. In the climate zone you can set an other temp sensor as the main sensor. Than the climate zone will follow this main temp sensor for the room temp.

    @Fabir but that's not a solution for me - I have 2 radiators in far corners and temperature sensor in center of my living room, so I want to have Eurotronic's using it instead of their internal temperature sensors.

    @Tazovsky That's exactly what I did. I'm using a temp sensor in the center of the room as the lead sensor.

    When you setup a climate zone, you can choose any temp sensor as the zone temperature sensor. I recommend a temp sensor with power supply in order to have a quick respond, to temp changes. Or use dedicated device like a heatit thermostat.

    @Fabir so you are saying you have Eurotronic thermostats and they follow thermostat from "zone temperature sensor" even though parametr 8 is not set to 128?

    @Tazovsky For sure this template for hc3/hc3l has a bug. I've been using the eurotronic thermostats for several years, previously with hc2/hcl without issues.

    Now I found something, but I have to test it a few days, in order to see, if it makes a difference.  I will report back, when I have the results.

    @Tazovsky

    I found, when you unclick "use template for parameter", parameter 8 can be set to 128 and saved.

    Than I testet for 3 days with this setting. From december 10. to 13. december

    Than I went back to the previous settings for the next 3 days. 13. to 16. december. In my case, this didn't show big differences. Lock below the temp graph, of the aeotec multisensor 6, placed in the middle of this room, configured as the main sensor for this climate zone.
