CO Sensor configured incorrectly

Question

Posted

Hi all,

I had to buy a new CO Sensor because the old one after 6 years was beeping every 30 secs no matter what battery I put inside. The new one, though, is recognised differently, as a multi-sensor with even a motion sensor,

whereas the old one had the proper icon and once you clicked inside you could see the status of CO and the history, like in the other 2 pictures

I tried re-adding it 3 times and also tried a soft-reconfig but result is always the same. I'm running HC2 4.620

Any idea how I could fix this?

Thanks
R

@RiccardoCanetta

You did not write which model co sensor you have. I have a heimann co sensor and it has only one part.

Things you can try:

-Update hc2 to the latest software 4.630.

-Exclude the co sensor again. Check if all parts are removed. If not, take off the battery from co sensor and try to delete the ghost parts with hc2.

-Include the sensor again with- or without sescurity.

Sorry you're right - it's a Fibaro CO Sensor version 3.2 like the previous one (altough obviously the previous one was 6 years old so it was probably a different hardware)

Upgrading to 4.630 is out of question because of the required reconfigurations and 4.620 is perfectly stable... a part from this I tried everything else, also inclusion in security mode and with/without the "far away from HC" flag...

    Any other idea?

    Thanks

    Hi @RiccardoCanetta ,

My HC2 is on 4.630 since it was published and is perfectly stable. I have two Fibaro CO sensors version 3.2 and there is no problem with them on this ultimate version of HC2.

Are you trying to add them in security mode? This might be a problem, try to add them with checked "Device is located far from the home center" and "NWI - Network-Wide Inclusion" options only.
