Aeotec siren 6 running longer than 30 seconds

Question

Posted

Hi,

I am new to smarthome having recently gotten a Fibaro Home Center 3 and bought an Aeotec Siren 6. I have succesfully installed the siren and set it up for making an alarm sound, when certain sensors are breached. However I do not know how to change how long the sound is sounding. From factory settings it is between 5 and 35 seconds depending on the tone. I would prefer it to keep going until cancelled, but an alternative would be something like 20 minutes or so. How do I change those settings? I think it is something with the parameters, but can't figure out what to do.

Thanks in advance!

(I hope I am posting in the right sub-group)

@Lisa Hello and welcome to the community.

I have the same issue with my aeotec sirene 6. And fibaro didn't provide a template.

Therefore I'm using the sirene only together with scenes.

    Have you solved how to let the alarm continue to sound by scenes? (and not cut off after ex. 30 seconds)? And how?

    @Lisa In my case, I can see 8 sounds from the sirene6. For alarm scenes, I'm using the last two. These are kind of continous sounds. One is a horn, the other one is a chime. If you set an alarm time, in my case 50 seconds, they go on for this time. Look below.

    @Fabir, thanks.

    The issue is, that even if I do a scene similar to yours (turning the alarm on for a period of time), the alarm shuts of automatically, as every alarm sound is pre-coded with a sounding time. See example below. I have not yet figured out how to change this.

    @Lisa Try with your Nr 18 Deep Alarm (62s)

    I've tryed again, with the two sounds mentioned above, they where running for 5 minutes. There's only a short pause between each interval. My sirene6 is on firmware 1.9
