Question

Posted

Hi and good afternoon,

I have a scene which I use to check my batterie status. This runs quite well. But now I reconized that something is going wrong.

My Fibaro motion sensor has a batterie status of 66%. And that for a year now.

Another module, a smoke sensor, has a batterie status of 82%. This module is not in use for the last two years and has no batterie.

Can it be that I have to reset the batterie status elswhere? Made some of you made the same experience?

Hi @SteMo_33 ,

HC2 shows battery status of the device that was last reported by that device. If you remove battery form the device then HC2 will not get any reports about battery status and therefore keep value that was last reported.

Ah, thank you for the answer.

I understand that with my smoke detector. But the motion detector stopped the battery report at 66%.

I looked again and saw that the motion sensor has probably not sent a status message for a year. I replaced the battery yesterday. The Fibaro motion sensor shows with a short flash that the new battery is in. But it seems that my HC2 has lost this module. It is impossible to wake it up and when I move in front of the sensor, it does nothing. How can I bring the sensor back to life?

    Hi @SteMo_33 ,

It is possible that in some rare occasion Fibaro eye loose connection to the HC2. It happened to me few times since 2015. If this is case, then first you will need to remove it from HC2 using learning mode. when this is done, eye will be reset and ready to be included, but it is possible that its master and slave devices will remain on HC2, so not removed.

For removing it completely you will have to remove it by force. I suggest to find eye master device which is usually hidden and click on X to delete it by force. After doing that wait a bit and watch Command window – on top of the home page that displays a list of actions performed by the main controller. When it says that device is deleted successfully then you must refresh page and check if Fibaro eye is really completely removed. If there is still some parts left, then refresh page again until is completely removed or click on remained device X to remove it completely.

Now, you can use learning mode to include it again. If Fibaro eye is functional it will be included to the HC2 and start working properly. It will have new ID number so you will have to correct your code which was using it.
