Tesla smart sensor siren - TSL-SEN-SIREN - Zigbee - configuration

Question

Posted

Hello everyone,

I have bought this Zigbee sirene, I was able to add it to my HC3, it recognizes it as Zigbee device. But has no clue on what is th purpose of the device. No parameters, no name. It has IEEE and network addresses.

Has anyone any experience with this sirene and was able to configure it to work with HC3?

Thank you for any help.

Have a nice day, David

Hi @davek06 ,

have you read about this device and try to find out what it is really for before grabbing your wallet?

I checked TESLA Solar s.r.o. website and it seems that they offer their own solution for smart home with their HUB, sensors, actors and all kind of other stuff. I didn't see there anything about compatibility with other systems.

Anyway, maybe it is possible to activate siren if any of the sensors already included in your HC3 is breached, but I guess that is already implemented on their HUB and on HC3 you will probably have to try to find out if it is even possible to make it work.

This is part of the description for the Tesla siren I found on Vesternet shop:

Just please, do not blame Fibaro for lack of the compatibility with Tesla products. Try first to contact TESLA Solar s.r.o. if their products are usable by other companies HUB before next step.

    Hi @Sankotronic

I do not blame Fibaro, I blame myself that I did not check the compatibility before buying it. I thought that if Fibaro has Zigbee chip so it works with all Zigbee products.

Thanks for showing me the way. I will try it, but I do not see the light at the end of the tunnel.

    Have nice evening, d.

    Hi @davek06 ,

Fibaro HC3 ZigBee is still in beta, so it is difficult to be sure if device will really work with it or not. List of ZigBee compatible devices or devices that do not work with HC3 you can find here:

with Zigbee the question is always whether it is compatible
