Central Scene Event in FGR-223, FGD-212, FGS-2x3 vs Local Protection Command Class

Question

Posted

Hi Everybody,

I have a doubt that i have not is tested yet. When do you use local protection with the protecction command class (in FGR-223, FGD-212 and FGS-2X3 devices), the triggers of the central scene event still work??? Because I consider that if the local protection is actived the momentary or toggle switch wired to S1 or S2 input must not trigger an central scene event. Do you have any experience about it? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

an interesting question. I recently discovered that setting local protection on with FGS-223 does in fact disable the central scene event which is really annoying. This is different behaviour to the earlier double modules which I have confirmed do not behave like this. I would expect that local protection would simply isolate the button from the switch but still send the central scene event, but sadly that is not the case.

Cheers

Yes, central scene events do work. Just associations and direct control on the device do not work.
