Scene with "Wake on Lan" device (LUA) cannot work

Question

Posted

Hello,

I have added "Wake on Lan" device do my Fibaro system.

It gets ID: 995

I have assigned proper MAC address of the LG TV to this Wake on Lan device.

When I press the button of the Wake on Lan device my TV starts automatically.

Then I have added scene "Wake on Lan TV" with Declarations:

{}

and Actions:

fibaro:call(995, "turnOn")

When I tried to run the scene I get response:

[2024-02-08] [17:55:38] [ERROR] [SCENE290]: (load):1: Assertion failed: Expected string

First question: Anyone has a clue what I am missing?

Second question: Am I right I cannot use "Wake on Lan" device in block scene?

    @Sankotronic
    Thank you for the answer.
    First, I have added the message in the thread mentioned by you: "Trigger Wake On Lan plugin".

    But then I have noticed that can be dead thread (last message from 2017).

    So I figured that was the best solution would be adding the new one.

    on HC3 its

    fibaro.call(995, "turnOn")

    (dot instead of colon)
