Automatic Restore after power glitch

This is pretty weird and potentially devastating.  After a power glitch, things were not working.  It took a while to figure out that an older backup had been restored.  

 

Is this a feature ?

    This is getting really frustrating.  Another power glitch, and scenes were scrambled.  Blocks of code were missing.  I rebooted, the problem was still there.  I had to restore.  I chalked it up to a one off, even though it is a disaster.

     

    Earlier today, there was a power glitch again, and the scenes were corrupted yet again.  I restored again.  Is this a feature too?

     

    What happens when I am not home?  I will be away for a fortnight, and I can't afford for the system to stuff up while I am away.
