Using Aeotec Door Window Sensor Pro 7 in Dry Contact Mode connecting to HC3

Question

Posted

Hi all.

I want to use the Aeotec Door Window Sensor Pro 7 as a door bell slave communication with Fibaro HC3. My problem is that it all connects ok via a relay to operate the sensor, BUT the problem is that it takes one door bell pulse to wake up the sensor where upon HC3 responds ok to all subsequent pulses. After about 30 seconds, it seems to go to sleep again and will need another wakeup pulse before it can send forward other pulses to my Fibaro HC3.  I am using the sensor in the Dry Contact Mode with Param 1 = 1.  This happens regardless of whether the contact input is operating NO or NC format. Is there some parameter I am missing?

Best Regards Ron H
