FGT-001 - Are the instructions updated?

Question

Posted

Hello,

recently I read the FGT-001 instruction PDF to perform some manual operations on my thermostats.

For example I would like to check the Z-Wave network status (mode of connections) and other things.

I found out 2 annoying problems: sometimes the behaviour of leds isn't the same described in the instructions, and sometimes, when I cycle through the "colors" to select a function, pressing one time the button to confirm the function has often no effect (I have to redo the operation and press the button 2-3 times  -maybe - to have any effect, it doesn't work smoothly). The manual says to press once, but very often this hasn't any effect.

Talking of leds, in the Z-Wave check function for example, I never see the led "pulsing" or "glowing", as the manual says, ma only a fixed green color.

My question is: is it a common problem or just mine? Are the manuals updated in your opinion or maybe are referred to older SW versions (mine is 4.9)

Thank you for yor help,  hope I exposed clearly the question.

It will if you put the FGT-001 inside a climate zone :)

I understood that it is about still LED when device is set to specific temperature manually, without the schedule; slow blinking when in schedule; fast blinking when in override mode.
This works with climate zone configured.

No, I meant that there's no glowing during Z-Wave Range Test

Fixed green color means direct good connection :)
