Which module to make a presence detector smart

Hi!

I have about 30 fibaro modules (switches, dimmer, rollershutter, smart modules) running with an aeotech Z-Stick as a gateway and homeseer as software.

Now I want to make a presence detector smart.

I already have tried a single switch only connected to S1, N and L. When the presence detector sends power to S1, the swith turns Q on (which is not connected to anything), but will not tell homeseer that the state has changed.

Do I have to use another module or is there a way to make the single switch tell homeseer its state?

If I am not mistaken You need to activate scene activation. Parameter 28. Default it is not active. 

I do this with a standard (not smart) outdoor light sensor to trigger entrance- and garden lights.
