Hello,

I would like to create a virtual device/quick app to monitor my wifi connected cameras, as sometimes when the local network reboots (i have scheduled once a month switch, router etc... night reboot) the wifi cameras loss the signal and while the network rebooting which can take up to several minutes they evaluate the connection is lost and not trying anymore to connect... the only way is to switch off the power and switch them back on... hardwired cameras are all fine.

So I have installed zwave switches to those cameras so i can remotely switch them off and on.

But I would like to have automated process which would be checking every 5mins or so whether the camera is online and if not, just switch it off and on automatically.

So I have in mind something like

ping = camera_1

if ping = false

   camera_1 turnOff

   camera_2 turnOn

end

...

...

...

so the thing I cannot work out, trying and finding various solutions but nothing seems to work on fibaro or HC3L

I need to ping (or any other way) a static IP on my local network to determine whether the  device is online

does anyone has an idea how I could achieve this?

Thank you
