Operating Q1 & Q2 of a double switch sequentially from one switch input

level3ninja

Question

I have a wall plate where I can only have a single switch allocated to this function, but I want to operate the 2x outputs of a double switch from the one switch. It will be operating the heat lamps in a bathroom. There are 4 heat lamps and they are each switched in groups of 2, so Q1 will power 2 heat lamps and Q2 will power the other 2 heat lamps. The way I want it to operate is when all off, press S1, Q1 turns on. Press S1, Q1 stays on and Q2 turns on. Press S1 and both Q1 & Q2 turn off.

I'm running a HC2 and the double switch is a FGS-224

  • Hi @Sankotronic,

I had a read through the manual before posting, but I've read it again now. The only thing I can find that might be possible to do this is parameter 41 - S2 input scene sent. Is that right? I had a go at making a scene the other day but couldn't figure out how to get the block scenes to iterate through the switching sequence I want. Sorry for being dense, I don't mind learning but don't know which direction to head.

    Hi @level3ninja ,

Yes, you can first enable parameter 41 - S2 input scene sent. Then you will need to make a scene with scene header:

Please login or register to see this code.

Just replace 120 with ID number of your double switch module.

Next is to get trigger data when scene is activated with following code:

Please login or register to see this code.

From above code you will see what scene received and how to continue with writing code to do action depending on S2 if clicked once, twice or held down.

You can also copy debug window here and I can help with further coding.
