Hello,

I have an issuse with flashing light.

The equipment is 4 years old, and there has never been a single problem.

Example: All of my spotlights connected to the kitchen switch are flashing at the same time. the same happens in the living room etc.

This started a few weeks ago. It happens very often, but not constantly.

I use a home center 2 with version 4.550.

I can't update the central. Anyone know why?

Are there any other suggestions for this problem?

Did you logged on remotely to the HC2?

Not quite sure what that means. I logged on using fibaro ID.

You need to log on the HC2 locally, with the IP address of the HC2, to update the firmware.

Are there an easy ABC how to do that? I have tried to connect using fibaro finder. But i get no access and blank page

You got the IP address of your HC2 from Fibaro Finder?

But in your browser you don’t get any response?

Finally... Now i have downloaded the update. Wil everything work after i install it? Or anything to think about?

I don’t think it will solve your issue. But it isn’t a bad idea to get the latest (stable) firmware.

I don’t work with a HC2., so I am not the best reference. It looks like an alarm scene triggers your lights. Could that be the issue? Have you configured an alarm trigger?

no alarms have ever been used. So that would be strange if theres any alarms making trouble

I definitely recommend to update HC2 to the latest firmware 4.630. It is stable and probably latest stable version for this excellent gateway.

Regarding your flashing lights, if are controlled by smart switch then probably you need to check connection or relay is worn out which is not likely but... If controlled by dimmer module then few things can make lights flashing like one f the led bulbs is at the end of life, external EM or module component is gradually failing. In my case I have some strange led bulbs that from time to time start changing brightness when set to value less than 10%, but not always and not at the same time.

Sounds like those modules responded to an "alarm frame" which is not generated by your HC en that explains why you see no "action"

It might be difficult to chase the culprit ( search "phantom menace" on this forum for an example) but you may be able to make those modules "immune"
