HC3 5.160.30 <> Google Home NOT working

kare

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I still have the same issue that I can’t connect my Google Home to my HC3,

I just upgraded to the latest version 5.160.30,

The only reply that I get from Fibaro / Yubii is “I have contacted the software department and the ticket was created.”

I'm getting super annoyed that I’m not getting any good response on this matter, it’s now +3 months since first reported.

Anyone else having this issue ?

Thanks, Kåre

Hi, I have a procedure for when our installers encounter this issue. Many times it is a problem with the internet provider. To find out if this is the problem, simply create a Wi-Fi host with your cell phone with the SSID of the home Wi-Fi with the same password, turn off the home router (so that both the Google Home and the HC3 connect to the Wi-Fi host of the cell phone. ). After creating the WiFi hotspot, restart both the hc3 and Google Home and carry out the process of linking Fibaro with Google again.

    I hope it helps you.

  • Hello,

I finally got some help which fixed the issue,

I just had to uninstall the google home app and reinstall it again, now it works just fine.

    Cheers, Kåre

@kare yes we checked log and dont saw any communication from google to our servers for your account, so good that cleaning (reinstall) google apps helped

Hi @kare, this is strange. I suppose you are using Google Home on iPhone, right? My primary device is Android, but the integration there does not work at all, but as the issue is the same not only fo Fibaro, I blame google for that. But when I tried clean Installation of Google Home on iPhone, I have the symptoms you had - first it says that it is connected, then "Something went wrong" follows...

Never mind, all devices just appeared in Google Home. Strange...
