Dimmer 2 with led lights and momentary switch

Question

Posted

Hi all,

I am struggling to connect my dimmer 2 properly.

I can install the dimmer on the lights and can operate them.

But I want to add a momentary switch so I can also manually switch the lights on and off.
The switch had 2 wires, tried to hook them in on Sx and S1, but nothing happens if I push it…

Parameter 20, is set as momentary switch…so getting doubts whether my wiring is correct…

Hello,
your photo says nothing at all about how you have it wired.
Either draw the wiring you have used, or better, follow the wiring diagram in the manual.

You are right, let me try to add the diagrams in the post.

Currently I have it hooked in like below:

And this works fine without issues.

Now I want to add a momentary switch to it so I can also operate the light via that switch.
Thought it was going to be like below, but nothing happens if I push the momentary switch:

    @geritz81 Hello.

    so it's clear to me.

If you have a switch (terminal 0) connected directly to S1 (it's not clear if you're not sending a phase, but there's no point, so maybe not), I don't see a problem.

Check parameter 19 (set to 0) if you have S1/S2 swap configured (parameter 29).

Guess you intended to callout  parameter 20 (as 19 is on my dimmer to control dimming level )

But parameter 20 is already set to 0 - momentary switch..
    I haven't set 29 to swap.

So you think my wiring is correct ?

Do you know if your switch is working? and are you connecting the correct terminals in the switch? Some switches have pass-through terminals etc. Post a picuture of it
