HC3 stopped working after upgrade - recovery mode

After updating HC3 to version 5.160.30, the system entered recovery mode. I was able to fix it though via recovery panel, repair system option, and it was back to normal for a couple of days.

I was out from home for a few days now and when I returned, the control unit did not work and again it was in recovery mode. Nothing is working now as a fix. I tried autorepair, repair system/change system. At startup, it hangs on "starting services" for quite a long time (several minutes) and starts rebooting until it finally enters recovery again.

I don't want to fully reset the control unit, is it possible to restore a previous backup with a previous version of the system from the cloud backup?

Auto-repair/repair actually restored previous version, that is how it works.

Probably your issue is not related with the version itself.

The ticket nbr is #308879. Huge thanks for any help @m.roszak!

I have some updates - I was able to bring it back yesterday night after using "recover system" option. It was working fine (apart that the zigbee devices were all dead, but I guess it's a flavor of this version 5.160.30, from what I've read in the forum). But... today it's happening again, no matter what I do it's looping back to recovery and just few minutes ago it went straight to the FTI (first time installation) screen 😨.

I'll try setting it up from scratch and pulling in a backup from my local. But I guess this might be some hardware/memory issue?...

Edit: I'm back on 5.154.37 (beta), it worked using the backup. I will monitor the device over the weekend and let you know if it's the version issue or might be something with hardware.
