How to improve a ZigBee mesh in HC3

Question

Posted

"Hello, I'm new to Fibaro. I installed my HC3 at home and it's working very well. I wanted to increase the range of my HC3, so I started installing more devices, but ZigBee ones. Although I can link them correctly to the HC3, it's like they are only connected to the HC3. I can't refresh the ZigBee network to make them see each other better, see who the neighbors are, and create a stronger mesh network with multiple hops from one device to another before reaching the HC3. In the Z-Wave section, it's easy because there's a button that can be pressed to reorganize everything perfectly. But when I go to the ZigBee section of my HC3, I can't find that button or understand how to do it. Can someone help me? Thank you very much."

follow these steps:

  1. Place devices strategically within range of each other.
  2. Add devices starting from the closest to the HC3 outward.
  3. Manually refresh by turning the HC3 off and on.
  4. Power cycle your ZigBee devices.
  5. Ensure all devices have the latest firmware.
  6. Consider using ZigBee range extenders.
  7. Check the HC3 manual or contact Fibaro support for more options.

Good luck!

thank you very much for your help. So you mean that the ZigBee mesh refresh is done when you Reset (off and on) the HC3?
