Fibaro HC2 hangs when updating devices

Question

Posted

Yesterday I restored my HC2 from a backup with the help of support.
After starting, I was offered updates for some Fibaro door sensors.
The update for the first device was completed relatively quickly.
The "downloading..." for the next device has now taken 24 hours and is still not finished!!
The device is relatively far away from the HC2!
I have now aborted the "downloading" and moved the contact about 1m next to the HC2 and restarted both the HC2 and the update.
The update has now been loading for over an hour without any progress! So it can't be the distance ;-(
Do you have any tips on what I can do to make the update work?

@PBe Please consider if you really need the device firmware update, see the release notes. It can go wrong, you can brick your device (sensor). You already had so much trouble.

There are several tips like, full battery, lower z-wave traffic, lower distance, etc.

If you are speaking about FGDW, make sure to wake it up - it is battery operated device and needs to wake up to start the procedure.

The contact was woken up and started the update. However, an error came back after about 1 hour

Please login or register to see this code.

Since the door contact is on a different floor than the HC2 base, I decided not to do the update.
As @SmartHomeEddy already mentioned, it is not an important update!

Is there a way to deactivate the reminder for this update in the notifications?
You can delete it, but every time you restart the HC2 it comes back again
