"Connection issue"

I've been having an issue using iPads with the Yubii apps. These are permanent wall mounted iPads with the purpose of having the Yubii app on display constantly.

 

The issue is the app seems to lose connection after a number of hours. Occasionally it will last up to a day before it says 'connection issue'. See attached screenshot.

 

This issue has persisted for months, through various version updates.

 

Things I have tried:

 

• Two different iPads, both behave the same way
• Use ping plotter to confirm network connectivity is stable - pass
• Hard wired one of the iPads via ethernet to rule out wifi
• Update iOS
• Update Yubii app version
• Switch from 'Yubii' app to new 'Yubii Home' app
• Use other apps such as Philips Hue app on iPad instead and see if it loses connection - (all other apps work fine and don't drop connection)

 

I'm at the point of building a different interface for the iPads using The Home Remote app (which also works without issue), but would prefer not to reinvent the wheel if I can just use the Yubii app.

 

Any other ideas folks?

I see on my Iphone also regular the same message if I am at home.

If I am outside I can understand if Iphone switch Wifi into phone connection I will get the message.
