Turning the plug off at certain consumption level

Question

Posted

Hi, I'm trying to build a scene for a plug, but it wouldn't run automatically. I'm using it for a charger for my e-bike, so I want it to turn off, when the consumption level is under 100W. For some reason it doesn't run like that, what am I doing wrong? It worked, when I reversed the sign from <= to = >, so when the scene was active, the plug successfully turned off, because the charger was consuming over 100W. Yet it woudn't work the other way around, and it only turns off, if I activate the scene manually. Please, help)

in the blockscene you are showing here it isnt 100w (current consumption), but Energy consumption you are using.

if you use this setup and make the sign >= then when the charger (plug) have consumed more then 0.1kwh it will turn off.

and that will take 1 hout for 100w to do.

but use instantanious power like this maybe you will get what you want:

(true for 30sec so a power drop for a sec dont turn it off)
