Paper sticker included in package for Wall plug?

Question

Posted

Hello,

In every new package for the Wall plug I find a paper sticker that looks like it should be used in the plug with 2 holes.

Does anyone know what it is and how to (or not) use it?

Is it important?

Many Thanks!

I stored it in the trash can.

Paper and electricity is a bad combination.

It is to stick the Wall Plug permanently to that place so you wife cannot replace it every time and mess up your Z-Wave mesh 😄

    Well... Eddy's right.

It is good for people who use these sockets to solve the retransmission of the signal. Unfortunately, this is a bad choice because:

    a) by removing the plug, the Z-Wave topology will change and the mesh site will be reconfigured, provided that there is at least some signal in the places after removing the device from the socket (so the sticker really solves it)

    b) very often these devices die, see this forum. So it is good to constantly count on the retransmission of the signal with the help of this device.

(I also have a lot of experience with this, so the socket is in places where it will not hurt to die.

    I understand! :-)

I thought Fibaro's Wall plugs were one of the better Z-Wave plugs on the market when it comes to reliability etc? I have started to crawl up from the Telldus swamp and is slowly (Fibaro is rather expensive) replacing those devices with either Fibaro or Zigbee devices. Zigbee has not been very impressive to me as they tend to die and need to be re-added after power outages etc. I'm using Homey so every time a device is re-added i need to edit on or more Homey flows.

    Many thanks!

Interesting. So, this problem with power outage and after that needing to re-add zigbee devices is not only affecting Fibaro. ;-)

    I see.

so this post will be a bit offtopic, nothing to the point.

The person (meaning the voter) is also dissatisfied with the current government and will vote for a change in the next election, thus resulting in a natural rotation of opposition groups in the government of the given country.

Analogous to this. The person (meaning the consumer) is also dissatisfied with the system he/she has/operates. Therefore, he tries to choose a different system next time.

Only rock fans and patriots remain loyal and hope that their choice will become successful over time (technologically, politically,...).
