FGSD-002 update

Question

Posted (edited)

Hello everybody,

A question for which I haven't found an answer. I've three of these detectors. One have the v3.3 firmware the the other two v3.1 firmware. Is it possible to upgrade to v3.3 the two runnng v3.1. If yes, where could I find the v3.3 firmware and the way to do that. Does v3.3 bring improvements and/or bug fixes compared to v3.1?

Thanks in advance for your lights

@Turlututu Hello and welcome to the community.

You can only upgrade a Fibaro device with a Fibaro homecenter controller.

You can't download a firmware for a Fibaro device.

When the fgsd-002 smoke detector is included to a Fibaro homecenter, it will tell you, there's an update available for the device. Before you start the upgrade, you can read about the changes in the updates.

    @Fabir Thanks for the answer.

    Too bad. I'm using these smoke detectors with a Home Assistant add-on. So, no way to update them.

    @Turlututu If you have multiple Fibaro devices. consider to buy a small homecenter.

    I recommend the Fibaro

    , this is not expensive. It supports not only Z-Wave devices but also Nice and Elero devices like roller shutters. Just make sure the homecenter has the same Z-Wave frequency as your existing devices.
