RGBW 2 configuration

Question

Posted

I have noticed something strange. When the RGBW 2 controller is configured on my HC2, it gives 6 slave units:

The top one is the controller itself, and the bottom 4 are the four output channels (I use this unit to control three individual LED strips, only using three channels out of four in the case shown). I have never bothered with slave number two, here called 293.1, until I recently found out that operating the switch icon on this second slave unit, I could turn on all the other units, but switching 293.1 off did nothing. This unit (293.1) also keeps showing an ON status, when reopening it after this and all other slave units have been switched OFF.

Another peculiarity on this controller is that it reports a 58.5 W power consumption, even when all units (including 293.1 and 293.5) are switched off. The other two RGBW controllers are configured the same way, including all parameters, but do not show such random power consumption when switched off.

It seems that the second slave (293.1) is living a life of its own. What is this end point supposed to do? I only see references to five end points in the manual, not six.

The firmware version is 27.27, and is shown as up to date.
