The new iOS 18 has dropped support for legacy widgets, there is no support on the app for new widgets so the only way left now is that you manually have to open the app and run scenes. Please introduce support for the new widgets or shortcuts!!

I'm very curious about this situation. I looked for other platforms (like homey, homecenter 3 or home assistant), but for a long time I was fine with the 'stable' situation related to my homecenter 2 (no big improvement, no innovations). But this one I use daily, so I'm definitely missing this one.

Will be an extra impulse to move forward to another platform if it won't improve....

Please update us on your development or advice on this?

PS: or should I use another app. I use Yubii Home center now (but I also saw Yubii home).

There is a problem with both applications. I am an installer, all my clients use the widgets several times a day. In a letter, I asked everyone not to update to iOS 18 yet.
I hope a patch for the Yubii comes soon.

I have created a topic about the widgets on the forum when the new format was introduced in iOS 15 but there was no acknowledgment from any Fibaro officials on the forum, that was 3 years ago. The news about the legacy widgets removal was announced during the WWDC in June, so technically Fibaro had almost 4 months to introduce the new widgets on both their apps, since the Yubii Home Center app supports hc2.

It appears the NICE acquisition has thrown everything in disarray. Fibaro was not very fast before, but now it's at a crawl. They are essentially killing their own platform by being so unresponsive / slow to address actual end-user issues.

I am baffled to see this feature not being at the forefront of their development backlog in the new app, I mean who wants to have to open the app to do the morning/evening scenario, or to arm/disarm their alarms, or open & close blinds etc

On top of this, the new app limitation of 4 favorite scenes is just plain inadequate.

I personnally use 7 to 8 scenes multiple times every day.

    @K.Drozynski

1- widgets need to be back ASAP

2- the new app must be able to have significantly more than 4 favorite scenes - especially if these favorite scenes are the ones that can be set as widgets, whenever that comes.

     Hello,

Thank you very much for your email.

We're aware of this issue and we've already forwarded it to our engineers, who are currently working on resolving it as soon as possible. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience it caused but I have to ask you for a little more patience."

This message was received on September 19.
Quick access is important and there are more iPhone owners among my clients than Android owners.
They can keep iOS17 for a while as I described to them. But anyone who buys a new phone will already have iOS18 installed.

Fix this already. IOS18 will be pushed hard towards iphone users. Widgets are an essential tool, please make sure the shortcuts are back soon

Maybe we are on the wrong forum, since Fibaro is now owned by Nice...

This is crazy... half a year later and no shortcuts update...

We are approaching slowly to 1 year to solve small issue. Maybe this is intended to cancel this functionality?

Yes, the lack of support for new widgets in iOS 18 is really disappointing! Manually opening the app every time is not ideal. I really hope the developers add support for the new widgets or at least integrate with Shortcuts soon. It would make automation so much smoother. Let’s hope they listen to user feedback!
