Can I sync physical thermostat with virtual one?

Question

Posted

Hey guys! I own HC3 and here is my issue:

I have a phisical thermostat (Heatit TEMP2) controling room's heating. It works just fine.
Recently I installed AC cooling unit and was wondering if I can control it with my wall thermostat.
Problem is, HeatIt TEMP-2 doesnt have COOL mode in it... it's meant just for heating.
So I've created a virtual thermostat that controls both Heating and Cooling. It also works just fine.

Now... I dont care for switching modes (I can do that manually twice a year) but how do I sync set temperature between both thermostats?
In order for my setup to work, I need to sync my physical thermostat set temperature with virtual one.

Any ideas? your thoughts much appreciated :)

in general, it should be easy from the Lua code, to trigger the scene on the setpoint change of the physical thermostat, read its value, and set it to a virtual one.
